  • Beautiful Church and Village area! I've grown up in the area and have visited the Church when open and closed many times, and attended many church services and meetings there, most poignantly for me, the memorial service held there 18 years ago, that October for the parents and family members, whose children had been stillborn earlier that year at the local hospital, just as my own Daughter had been. I was incredibly grateful to the hospital and the church for organising this service, it was very moving and beneficial in the grieving process. The adjacent church hall and schoolhouse is amazing too, and is used for many purposes. It's a church steeped in history, even the brickwork bears the scars of history, where you can see knights of old, have ridden by and sharpened their lances, swords/rapiers along the walls. The church is beautiful inside and out, wonderfully maintained, as is the churchyard, the grounds and the playing fields it's situated on. It's a wonderful place to visit, alone for the solitude and peace, to take the family for a picnic, and learn more about the history of the church and the area, to enjoy walking around in the spring, summer autumn, to photograph the church and area, draw, or paint it, enjoy the history and majesty of the church, the village it lies within, the playing fields with all the space to play and enjoy the grounds that surround it. Or simply take a stroll and walk the dog, It's one of my personal favourite local places and the nearby Blakesley Hall. I often walk from one to the other and cherish the beauty, historical importance and serenity of the area, so beautiful and quiet.
